iTTC is a cool little program designed to give you information about the Toronto Transit Commission’s service. This includes the buses, street cars, and the subway. The app is 99 cents in the App Store and is definitely worth it.
When you first load up the app, it sometimes will pull more information off the host server. There is even a message asking to contact them if there is a route not listed in the program that you want. The app serves two main functions. The first is to tell you what time the next bus, streetcar, or subway is coming. It also help you plan out your route a bit. The second main function would be the maps. It gives you maps of all subway, bus, and streetcar routes.
Here is a look at the app:

While I do enjoy this app, there are a number of bus routes which do not have timetables at all. This will cause the at a glance times to read “Not in Service”.
Otherwise though, once they get the remaining timetable data, this will be a must for anyone using the TTC.

Does this app require access to the internet? There’s no reception once in the subway station.

@ Curious
Good question.
I just shut off my data and tried it, and it still works. It looks like all the data is stored within the app, and will give you times of buses etc based on the time on your iPhone and what data they’ve saved. The app occasionally needs to get updates which will be prompted when you open the program.

I bought iTTC a couple of months ago and put up with its inaccuracies because it was the only game in town. I found Red Rocket and it is much better.
