New Rogers/Fido iPhone Plans coming October 1st BestSkinsEver Contest #2 Results

The Incase Slider for the first generation iPhone was my favourite case for it. By case I mean actual case, not the skin type cases. I was a little disappointed when the was no Incase Slider for the 3G to buy when the 3G first came out. There wasn’t any signs that they were developing it either.

Well, I was pleased to find out that the Incase Slider for the iPhone 3G is now available. I had to get down to the Apple store right away to test them out. I didn’t really want to spend $35 on a case that I’m just going to test out but I thought it looked like a good product and was worth a try.

I have the griffin one. So far so good but I replaced the screen protector with the ones you put on instead. Much better. Although the case seems to have gotten a little looser and seperates once in a while.

Actually noticed from your pics that your case actually protects over the sim card tray which is better.

Yeah, it’s a solid case, protects well, but adds weight and size. I think that if you like cases, this is the one. Although it is expensive to continually buy different cases all the time.

I’ve been using a thin Logiix silicon case but don’t like how it’s a bit “sticky” to slide in/out of my pocket and how it picks up dust/lint. So coincidentally I’ve been considering either this Incase Slider or the Power Support Air Jacket - thanks for the timely review of both!

in your opinion what are the pro/con of these 2 compared to each other. I haven’t had the chance to see either one in person yet. basically I’m just wanting thin protection for the back without too much bulk since I just carry it in my pocket (I’ll likely go with something like the PS anti glare for the front)

    thanks

The slider definitely protects more of the iPhone and will probably save it in a drop. The air jacket will still protect in a drop, maybe not as much but it maintains the original look of the iPhone way better.

I just ordered the SwitchEasy Capsule Rebel, all the reviews say it’s great and it looks smexy. It should be coming this week :)

Will it fit with the bodyguardz if you cut out the rubber guardrails and sand it a little?

i have the black incase slider as well as the silicone rubber one too. i got the slider as soon as it was in the apple store too. i tried all others as well as the wave, the flick, the agent18 etc and i can’t say any feel as good. i like the texture of the black way more than the shiny white, it feels more rubbery but doesn’t stick to my pocket like my other silicone case.

    @ Lukasz
I had to take the bse off mine to get it on. I doubt it would fit even with some modification.

I have the leather backed one. Really nice and no lint collection or anything. I actually heard of the lint problem with the silicon ones (bought one anywayz because I like the way they look) but have the hardcase on it all the time anyways.

One thing I realizes (the hard way) ..putting those screen protectors on requires absolutely no dust in the area you are putting it on as well as NEVER touch the sticky side or it’s garbage. It’s $14 for 2 and I wasted both :( My fault.

I read all the positive reviews about the inCase but unfortunately, the Apple store in my city didn’t carry it so I bought a Contour Flick for the same price. The Flick is similar, but the white one’s recessed rubber hinge on the back gets dirty and looks very ugly. The Flick also gaps a little and doesn’t fit tight. I’m very unhappy with it and wish I had an inCase instead.
