Poker has seen such a huge gain in popularity over the past few years. Similar to the way the iPhone is gaining popularity. What would be an iPhone without Poker on it. Before the iPhone became my number one passion, I used to be very interested in poker. Since I spend most of my time doing iPhone stuff, I don’t play poker so much anymore. This game is a great play when killing time or on your daily commute to work.
The Texas Holdem game is currently showing as the third most popular paid app from the App Store. There’s a good reason that it’s getting a lot of buys. It is a good game. At $4.99, it is definitely worth it. It looks like a lot of thought and effort went into this game. You can tell as it is a 128mb download.
Playing texas holdem on your iPhone is fun. You can even play against friends on a wifi network. It would be a little better if you could play against anyone on any network. That’s not such a big deal though because the computer AI is actually smart. The gameplay is actually somewhat realistic and is a lot better than most computer games out there. You aren’t going to get some stupid plays from the computer which ruin the game for you.
You start off the game with $0 and play in the garage. It’s is a tournament/sit n go style game and you make money by placing in the top 3. Once you make more money, you can buy yourself into bigger events including Las Vegas. Remember to be agressive.

Verdict - It would be better if we had PokerStars for the iPhone but this is the next best thing. I definitely recommend this game if you like poker. $4.99 is very reasonable for this great game.
